THE 2010-11 SCHEDULES
Alright all you basketball animals, here is the 2010-11 NBA schedule in three versions. Did you know that there is a Site on the Internet that is actually selling the NBA schedule in Excel format for $10? Yes, there really is one, whereas here it is free. The odds are that the site where the schedule is $10 and here where it is free are the only two places on the Internet where you can find the NBA schedule in the very useful Excel format.

Each schedule has October, November, December, and January in four columns in the upper half and February, March, and April in three columns on the lower half. Due to a glitch at Google Documents, the months preceding the dates are truncated, for example, "November" might appear as "Novem". To use these schedules you have to first find the section for the month you want and then scroll down to see all the dates that are in that month.

For each game, the time is shown and then the team on the left is the road team and the team on the right is the home team.

First we have the basic, plain NBA regular season schedule for 2010-11.

Now for the juiced up or highlighted schedule. This schedule highlights all games where both teams are among the following teams which are expected (assuming no injuries) to be the best four teams in each Conference:

EAST
Miami Heat
Boston Celtics
Orlando Magic
Chicago Bulls

WEST
Los Angeles Lakers
Portland Trailblazers
Dallas Mavericks
San Antonio Spurs

So this is the schedule to use when you want to find out instantly when the best teams are playing each other. These games are all playoff previews, mostly beyond the first round playoff previews.

Games highlighted in pink are among what are expected to be the best team in east conference (the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat). Games highlighted in orange are among what are expected to be the best two teams in each converence (Lakers, Trailblazers, Heat, and Celtics). Games highlighted in yellow are among any of the eight teams shown above where one or both are NOT among the top four. So the pink Heat-Lakers games (there are just two) are probably the most important playoff previews of all, the orange games are very important playoff previews, and the yellow games are relatively important playoff previews. Of course, as soon as the injuries start happening, the ordering of teams will change, so the highlighting will no longer be close to perfect anymore. But it will still be very useful.

And lastly here is the Denver Nuggets 2010-11 schedule Like a loyal dog I keep spending (some would say wasting) time on this team which most would agree is most likely never going to win the Quest in your or my lifetime. What can I say? I guess I'm like a loyal dog who won't run away from where it was a puppy.
